 NEV CLAUGHTON - Bass / Vocals / Band Leader
Not a lot of instruction needed for this guy. Nev aka “Mr Music” ex Christchurch and Auckland is a real mover and shaker in the Nelson/Marlborough music scene. Apart from his long professional career as a musician and entertainer in Jazz, Pop, Country and Swing, it is a tribute to his marketing expertise and enthusiasm in being able to assemble such a group of top musicians able to perform a huge range of musical styles performed by the Classic Hits Band.
 GABOR TOLNAY - Piano and Keyboards
Hungarian born Gabor, now resident in Nelson and rated as one of NZ’s leading piano and keyboard players. An amazing talent who performs with ease all styles including Jazz Standards through to Classic Rock. His role as a professional also includes choir master, church organist and audio/video engineer. Gabor is without equal in the Nelson/Marlborough region with skills that must be seen to be believed. Mention his name in the industry and watch the eyebrows raise.
 DALE CHING - Drums, Vocals, Percussion
The elder of the Ching Brothers, Dale hails from one of Nelson’s best known musical families. From playing piano at the age of four, graduating through clarinet and saxophone at performance level, he is regarded as one of Nelson / Marlborough’s top drummers in the fields of Pop, Country Jazz and Swing. A sought after “side-man” for groups performing in awards festivals and show productions, his experience goes way beyond his years.
 MIKE CHING - Guitar and Vocals.
The group’s youngest member, but only by age not experience. Mike has been performing since a very young age, and is one of the regions best known soloists also having been working in a duo for many years, followed closely in a group “Loose Unit” with brother Dale. A wonderful guitarist in both acoustic and electric styles, Mike is also one of the band’s feature vocalists. His interpretations of modern songs bring an extension to the repertoire necessary in today’s music. He is rated as one of the regions best sound technicians for live performance events.
