The Brandy Creek Band has evolved following keyboardist/producer Liam Ryan's relocation to Dovedale Valley in the beautiful Tasman area of Nelson. In the 1970s, Brandy Creek was a location known for its "hippie" population, and a then fashionable commune of sorts. This idyllic setting is nestled in a tree-lined valley where free spirits met to live off the land, play music, party and discuss politics (and other stuff) . These days Brandy Creek is a quiet back water , a beautiful part of Godzone known for its peace and tranquillity, save for the odd occasion when the Brandy Creek band meets to hang out and rehearse

“The legend of Brandy Creek lives on and is very much alive. with the band as a co-operative of like-minded musicians focused on excellence in performance, high production values, authenticity and having maximum fun”, says Ryan. “ I am privileged to have gathered around me some of the best musicians and songwriters in the country. And making music in a beautiful location like this – well, what can I say? It’s simply inspiring”. The band's nucleus is often complemented with input from a wide base of talent within the region to such an extent "The Brandy Creek Band" is sought after by the leading venues and community organisations, and is a name on everyone's lips.

The "Friends of Brandy Creek" concept brings together fellow musicians and supporters, and each gig brings an element of surprise. Ryan's enthusiasm has a "no holds barred" approach so watch this space folks. The fun has just started./p>
